Preoperative Preparation

General – Basic Anesthesia Pre/Post-Operation Guide

  • You should arrive for the operation on an empty stomach. Refrain from eating after 9:00 PM the night before the operation and avoid drinking water after midnight.
  • Vitamin E: Cease taking Aspirin or medications containing Aspirin, as they enhance bleeding, 1.5 weeks before the operation.
  • To ensure a shorter healing process, make necessary arrangements 2 weeks before the operation.
  • Routine examinations will be conducted at the hospital before the operation. Please inform in advance if you have any significant illnesses or complaints. Necessary tests and checks should be done in advance.
  • Take a bath the night before the operation.

On the Day of the Operation

  • Refrain from eating or drinking anything.
  • Avoid using makeup. Do not apply nail polish.
  • Leave valuable belongings at home.
  • You may stay at the hospital on the evening of the operation. Please bring the necessary items with you.
  • Be at the hospital at the specified time.
  • Bring any tests or examinations you have previously undergone, as requested by your doctor.

After the Operation

  • Do not neglect to take all medications given to you.
  • Schedule appointments for post-operation check-ups.
  • Discontinue taking Aspirin or medications containing Aspirin, as they increase bleeding, for 2 weeks following the operation.
  • Avoid smoking for 2 weeks.
